Inner East End planning changes will come back to Council later this month

What is often called the biggest planning changes to Fremantle since the Americas Cup – otherwise known as the rather less sexy title of the scheme amendment 49 – are coming back to Council for approval over the next few weeks. For those of you who don’t know it focuses on the kind of ugly part of Freo –  the inner east end where Myer, Target and Coles are – away from the heritage areas.

It will be coming to Council next week for in principle approval of the key heights and sustainability and housing affordability provisions etc.

It would be great to have a wide range of Fremantle people come down and have a say what they about like it and what they would suggest we change.

So please let interested people know they are welcome to come either to:

  • The Planning Meeting 6pm this Wednesday the 15th of February
  • The full Council meeting 6pm the following Wednesday the 22nd of February

Enter up the white stair near Myer and register by 5.50pm to make a short statement of up to three minutes

To see the agendas (up on the Friday evening before the meeting) go to:

cheers, Brad
