Kings Square urban design process outcomes presented this Monday

The Kings Square urban design process is reaching its conclusion and if you would like to see the results of the Fremantle community’s and Council’s hard work through workshops, walking tours, citizen juries and many hours of discussion and debate then please join us at this Monday the 25th  (6pm to 7.30pm) at the City of Fremantle reception room where Fremantle based consultants and architects CODA will report back on their conclusion before they come to Council on the 27th.

Without giving too much away the report heralds some major but very worthwhile changes to Fremantle’s civic heart including a proposed urban room, shared streets and some excellent principles that will ensure Kings Square meets the shared vision of:

A place that is clearly recognised as the civic centre and a central commercial hub of a revitalised Fremantle, which responds to and connects with all that Fremantle has to offer and provides a diverse, dynamic and rewarding experience for all users.
