New development at Kim Beazley School site in White Gum Valley with affordability and sustainability at it heart.

The former Kim Beazley School in White Gum Valley could become a cutting edge development with affordability and sustainability at it heart and we would love your feedback. It is even look at a competition to design Gen-Y housing.

The site covers an overall land area of approximately 2.29 hectares and is located south of the Golf Courses and Booyeembara Park.

The proposed structure plan, which is now open for public comment,  will guide the future development of the site and proposes medium density residential development.

.Two community buildings, Sullivan Hall and the Men’s Shed (former Fremantle Pigeon Racing Club Hall) are to remain on-site and in their existing location.

The plan was developed by Landcorp in consultation with the local community and the White Gum Valley Precinct group through a number of briefing sessions and workshops.

Community information session

A community information ‘drop-in’ session will be held at the White Gum Valley Primary School on Saturday 21 September 2013 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm and is open to all residents. Representatives from both Landcorp and the City will be present to discuss and answer questions on the proposed structure plan.

View the proposal and have your say

The plan and accompanying report, as well as a submission document, can be downloaded at the Community engagement section of the City’s website or can be viewed in person by visiting the Customer Service Counter at the City’s Town Hall Administration Centre.

The period for submissions closes Friday 18 October 2013.
