Looking West Launch

It is so good having New Edition in the West End not only because they sell great books until 9pm in the evening but also because they hold interesting events to launch new books on a regular basis.

This week they are launching Griffith Review’s Looking West.

What do stolen wages, punk rock, sharks, mining and footy have in common? They all feature in Looking West.

Get a snapshot of the terrific essays and stories from Looking West as local Fremantle contributors including former-WA premier Carmen Lawrence, musician Nick Allbrook, Sam Carmody, Steve Kinnane, Sean Gorman, Peter Newman and more join co-editor Anna Haebich to share snippets from the edition. Then meet them all over a drink and refreshments.

Date: Wednesday 8 April

Time: 6.30 for 7.00 pm

Venue: Bar Orient Hotel, 39 High Street, Fremantle

Cost: Free, but please register at griffithreview@griffith.edu.au
