Pitch In For A Kitchen at 100 Hampton Road

FORM are crowdfunding for equipment for their 100 Hampton Road Kitchen, a project which helps vulnerable social housing residents in Fremantle. FORM need to raise $20 000 by September 3 to fill the kitchen with tools of the trade to train, mentor and provide hope to residents.

For the last year FORM have been running a weekly shared lunch project with Perth chef Sophie Budd, using cooking classes to strengthen the community within the Hampton Road facility. But it’s grown into something much bigger. Residents have been piloting the sale of jams, chutneys and preserves they’ve made on a barbecue and an old stove at local markets and FORM have just given the kitchen a much needed renovation after winning a grant from Impact100 Fremantle.

Building on the Fremantle Foundation Impact 100 grant from last year, FORM want the 100 Hampton Road kitchen to be a space for skills development that helps people gain the confidence and skills they need for employment in the food industry or in their own social enterprise at the new 100 Hampton Road Kitchen.
