Government Offices in Freo move one step closer

This has been a long time coming but this little ad is a very big step in Freo’s revitalization. After some delays it is excellent to see the State Government office process back on track.

This is likely to include the Dept of Housing but we will have to wait to see the final mix. Obviously Sirona will put a bid in on behalf of the Kings Square project.

If it wasn’t 2pm on a Wednesday I’d be having champagne!

It is “hump” day too (that daggy phrase for the middle of the working week) – go on, have a champagne!

Of course Freo’s View reported it first and the image comes from there. ;>)

Congrats to COF. Now can COF influence Transperth to provide public transport concessions for Dept of Housing workers. It will create a good public servant habits from day 1 resulting in:
Less traffic/parking congestion, Lower carbon emissions and Increased public transport use. It works for Fremantle and West Coast members during the footy season.

An interesting side note is the requirement for the site being no further than 600 metres from the train station.

Could this be the the new standard for high density villages aka, Northbank and McCabe St?
Isn’t it time Freo pushed for reinstating the two train stations it used to have in North Fremantle?

Good news but as long as it doesn’t come at the cost of the PFL going through

  5. Andrew says:

This is great news for the future of Freo…well done to the team behind these negotiations, Andrew
