Fremantle Esplanade Park Plan Open Day this Saturday

Have your say on future plans for the Fremantle Esplanade Park.

Open day this Saturday the 12 September from 10am – 12:30pm over by shipping containers

We’ve revised our master plan for one of Fremantle’s iconic parks, the Esplanade.
How can a park that has been an important space for community recreation since 1905 be improved to meet community needs of today and the future?
We want to know:  have we got the new Fremantle Esplanade master plan right?

You can view the draft masterplan and have your say using our new online portal MySayFreo.

Brad, where is the link to the actual draft master plan on the portal ? I (& presumably other Fremantle ratepayers) would prefer to comment on the actual master plan not a 6 page summarised version. Also currently abroad and can’t attend open day. Thanks

How does the CoF envisage the space being used for events, stage locations and its seating area, stalls set up areas, event fenced off enclosures/boundaries? Service vehicle routes/surfaces for these?

The SPC agenda of 10 Jun 2015 discussing the masterplan refers to ….”The final plan will also include costs and a recommended implementation program”.

Any particular reason why the budgeted costs are not being made available.

When will these budgeted costs (& the implementation program) be made available to ratepayers?

    • Craig
The final plan will include those things but this is the draft plan out for community feedback. That said, the 2015/16 budget around this and other key projects was debated at Special Project Committee last night and the details of that are in the agenda and attachments on the web
      cheers, Brad
