Have Your Say: Transforming Fremantle’s City Centre

We’re looking for your ideas and suggestions to improve the streetscape of Queen, Adelaide and Point Streets and revitalise the Fremantle inner- East End.

Your suggestions will contribute to a concept design to upgrade the area. We’re keen to hear how you’ve experienced these streets and what you think would improve the quality and character.

This project is a key action from Freo 2029 Transformational Moves and responds to the changing role of these streets as plans to revitalise Fremantle progress.

With redevelopment planned for Kings Square, the Fremantle rail station forecourt and major sites along Queen Street and Adelaide Street, these key inner east end streets are in need of an upgrade to support revitalisation of the city centre. We want to make sure the public domain of Queen, Adelaide and Point streets is attractive and safe with good pedestrian connections, public transport links and public amenity. We also want to make sure the public realm supports private economic development activity and Fremantle’s retail economy, while meeting community needs. We’re interested to hear about your experiences of Queen, Adelaide and Point St’s through the interactive map below until 7 June 2016.
