WA Seniors Week 2016 Events

It’s WA Seniors Week 2016 until next Sunday 13 November and you’re invited to join in the celebration with these free events: Afternoon tea dance (Thursday 10), Meet Janine and Tom, ambassador for VisAbility (Tuesday 8), Pop, Nan and Bub Rock (Friday 11), chair exercises (Tuesday 15) and Fremantle Community Care Seniors’ High Tea (Friday 11).

Afternoon tea dance

Over 55, with a love for dance?  Want to meet people? Enjoy an afternoon tea and a live band.

When: Thursday 10 November 1.00-4.00 pm

Where: Fremantle Town Hall

Booking: Tickets (free) available at the customer service counter, Fremantle Town Hall Centre

 

Have-a-Go Day

Try a range of sporting and recreation activities and learn about topics for over 55. Food stalls will provide snacks or BYO.

When: Wednesday 9 November. Bus leaves at 9.30 am and returns 3.30 pm from the One Stop Shop, Kings Square, Fremantle.

Where: Burswood Park.

Pop, Nan and Bub Rock

Grandparents are invited to bring their grandchildren for a special afternoon of fun. Be entertained by Greg Hasting author of internationally acclaimed Wandering in the Bush show.

When: Friday 11 November 1.00-2.30 pm

Where: The Meeting Place, 245 South Terrace, South Fremantle

Fremantle Community Care Seniors’ High Tea

Treat yourself to a delicious array of sweet, savoury morsels and delicious teas. Special offer: buy one ticket and take a friend for free (split the ticket cost with your friend and that is $5 each!). Get in quick, places are limited.

When: Friday 11 November 11.00 am-1.00 pm

Where: Fremantle Bowling Club, 6 Ellen Street, Fremantle

Bookings: tickets $10.00 per person, available from Fremantle Community Care, Queensgate Building, 10 William Street, Fremantle. Limited places (no door sales). Call 08 9432 9890. RSVP by Friday 4 November.

 

Senior’s Week Celebration

Treat yourself with a tea and biscuits. Read your favourite newspaper quietly, or have a chat with other visitors of the One Stop Shop.

When: Open Monday to Friday 9.00 am-3.00 pm

Where: One Stop Shop, Kings Square, Fremantle
