Tickets are selling fast for Freo’s inaugural long table dinner in support of St. Patrick’s Community Support Centre, Fremantle’s key homeless support organization. The National Hotel, the Fremantle Business Improvement District and the City of Fremantle have teamed up for this very special event on Thursday, November 24th. High Street will be closed off between Pakenham and Market Streets in the historic West End of Freo. All profits from the evening will go to St. Patrick’s Community Support Centre.
“We have a host of fantastic items for our charity auction on the night, as well as some incredible raffle prizes,” said Steve McDermott, CEO of St. Pat’s. “From a five-night stay at a holiday home in Pemberton to boxes of wine to camping passes for the Southbound Festival, we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our community.”
“Comedienne extraordinaire Famous Sharron will be hosting the evening,” explained Karl Bullers, owner of The National Hotel. “We’ve also got live music, fire eaters, comics and Santa, of course. There’ll be three-course gourmet meal, with drinks – all in the middle of iconic High Street.”
“This event is the perfect demonstration of Freo’s commitment to creating a vibrant city culture as well as supporting our most vulnerable,” said Jenny Marslen, Project Manager for the Fremantle Business Improvement District. “This unique event will launch the numerous activities happening in Fremantle over the festive season – we encourage everyone to seek out the many treasures Fremantle has to offer and gift local this Christmas.”
Tickets are $120 and available through https://events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/long-table-dinner Businesses interested in sponsoring the event or donating a g prize for the auction can contact Melanie Watkins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
