For many years I had business office in South Terrace. I have continued to use the cafes and hotels on South Terrace. However since the installation of speed humps on South Terrace I will no longer be a patron of those cafes and hotels on South terrace.

In the many years I had an office on South terrace the speed of cars on the road was not a hazard. But was a hazard was cyclists on the footpath. Before exiting office to the footpath it was necessary to stop and look both ways for cyclists. Cyclists on footpaths expecting pedestrians to get out of their way will still remain the biggest hazard on South Terrace.

    • Victor, these are of course related. More cyclist choose to ride on the footpath as the road does not feel safe due to the number and speed of vehicles. Evidence is that the speed humps are working as part of longer plan to make South Tce more pedestrian friendly
      cheers, Brad
